It’s been two years since we last had our quackers quacking on the coolest ride in San Francisco! Now Ride the Ducks is pleased to announce the newest addition in the San Francisco fleet! You may have seen this vehicle’s predecessor cruising in McCovey Cove during many Giants home games, or quacking through Chinatown, but now Ride the Ducks will wear its San Francisco colors with pride. The new Ride the Ducks amphibious vehicle is Giants orange and ready to take you on a trip you won’t forget!
There’s no doubt of getting noticed as you drive around the city now! Your sightseeing adventure lasts about 90 minutes with about 25 minutes of that time on the bay. The tour hits a ton of infamous city highlights that we enjoyed on our last adventure with the kids and with tons of history and current event sites to give you an overview of the area whether you’re local to the area or a true visitor. The uniqueness of vehicle allows you to interact with the city streets so you get a real feel for life in San Francisco and where you want to explore next.
Here are some of the fantastic sites you’ll see while on the tour:
- Union Square
- Chinatown
- Ghirardelli Square
- North Beach
- Fisherman’s Wharf
- SOMA
- South Beach
- The Ferry Building
- The Transamerica Pyramid
- Chinatown
Our second time through (this time without kids) was great, the driver really makes the trip as he fills you in with city facts plus tons of jokes and laughable moments that will have you begging for a longer trip!
Just as a side note, you may want to call or ask at the Taylor Street kiosk about getting on the Orange vehicle specifically because they didn’t paint the entire fleet, there are still white ones in operation.
Boarding happens at the corner of Taylor and Jefferson across the street from the Fisherman’s Wharf. For a fun filled trip geared for the whole family, Ride the Ducks is it in SF, visit their website, http://sanfrancisco.ridetheducks.com/home.aspx for more information and ticket prices!
