As a mom whose kids tried out their new Air Storm line this week from Zing, I can wholeheartedly tell you one thing: Mission Accomplished!!

As soon as kids unleash Zing’s new Air Storm line, they’ll have foam ammo flying in more ways than they can imagine! Hit top heights with Pop Rocketz or nail the bull’s-eye with the Z-X Crossbow. These Zing products pack a major punch in a stealth size. Take your pick–the Air Storm arsenal is loads of fun with several ways to play.

We were happy to try out three of the Zing Air Storm products, including the Z-X Crossbow, the Zip-Bak Bow and the Pop Rocketz. Both kids, ages 8 and 10, were able to use everything and weren’t limited by toy size or power. They started out in the house, but I quickly shooed them outside once I realized that the larger bows really pack a punch!

The Z-X CrossBow, catapults safe foam ammo 45+ feet! The super-soft, fast-loading Zartz suction cups stick to almost any surface for hours of archery fun. Behold the power grip action…just load the arrow and pull the trigger for amazing range outside or indoors.

These toys were a huge success with all of the kids in our neighborhood, and the arrows were everywhere! The funniest moment was when one landed in the neighbor’s backyard, and bounced right back over our fence to us. Another impressive moment was the first time Charlie shot the Z-X Crossbow straight up in the air. I was sure it would reach the moon before it ever came back, and yet when it did, it just bounced right off the ground and was back in his hand in moments.

Fling arrows the length of a basketball court—more than 95 feet—with the Zip-Bak Bow! This high-performance bow is easy to learn and use. Just position the arrow, watch the bow’s arms pop open, swing back, and release! Soft foam Z-Arrows fly right on target and feature bounce-back action.

Our one disappointment was that the Pop Rocketz toy didn’t last long before it broke. It requires squeezing the bulb at the bottom to pop the rocketz into the sky, but early on the tube inside came unattached from the bulb, making it impossible to shoot the rocketz.

Nothing makes this mom happier than seeing her kids get outdoors and play until their cheeks are pink from exertion. Zing’s Air Storm toys have made that possible, day after day. They’re sturdier than similar gadgets I’ve seen, and they’re perfect for kids in the age group I had playing with them. (8-13) I highly recommend Zing Toys for this spring and summer’s outdoor adventures!

Our Take: Any mom loves outdoor toys when no-school-summer days get long! What a fun way to get outside and play, in our back yard or at the park, these Zing Toys are reasonably priced and fun. Taking turns with the bow, the kids shoot the arrows for distance contests, once they shoot, they run after the arrows, so they are getting great exercise the further they shoot. The arrows are easy to load and even my five-year old had the motor skills to figure it out. The zip-clip is smart and can clip on the bow or a belt loop to avoid loss.

My son also likes shooting the arrow straight up in the air, tossing aside the bow and tries to catch them! The one “stick anywhere” dart is fussy and doesn’t always stick, mostly to glass (I’m not a fan of that) not so much on walls or fences, but the kids didn’t mind. In the back yard we have rules to keep the arrows from going over fences, and though they say it’s also an indoor toy, I don’t allow that for our kids. The Zing-shot makes it easy to use with the prongs, but there are times when the kids accidentally shoot it back at themselves. Luckily so far, we’ve only gotten giggles rather than “ow that hurt” comments!

Whether kids are setting up cans for target practice or going for distance, the safe and secure Z-Curve Bow and Zing-Shot Launcher are sure to provide hours of active fun!
