NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser Review

With my boys active in school and sports we drink a fair share of water! But, usually it’s from those 16 oz. plastic bottles. In the summer, when they are both super busy we could go through a case a week. The city we live in has horrible water even when strained through our refrigerator’s filtering system, so I won’t drink it unless it’s comes from a bottle!! As you can imagine… it can get pretty expensive.

We looked in to a water cooler to see if it could save us some money and help increase the amount of water the whole family was drinking (you know – who really drinks 8 glasses of water every day?!). After the initial investment of the Water Dispenser and the bottle, our town has a place to refill your bottles for as low as $0.05 a gallon so we decided to take the leap.

We were lucky enough to be able to tryout the NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser. It is sleek and stylish. I love the low profile buttons and the stainless steel. NewAir’s websites says the unit features:

2 Water Temperatures
With adjustable hot and cold water temperatures, you can choose what temperature you would like them to be. Hot water temperatures range from 176°F to 203°F and cold water temperatures range from 41°F to 50°F.

Safety & Style
A sleek creation and an ideal appliance for your kitchen or office setting. The stylish push button controls, have a safety regulated “hot water” push button, making it safe for children.

Compatibility & Bottle Spike Feature
The WCD-1100SS Dispenser is compatible with a 2-gallon, 3-gallon or 5-gallon bottle of water. The top of the unit features a spike puncture for the seal of the bottle, all you have to do is simply place your chosen size of bottled water on top of the unit and start hydrating.

Ultra Silent & Plastic Free
This unit operates in a silent mode. You won’t even know you have it running. It also features a stainless steel water tank which delivers a plastic free taste when drinking both hot and cold water.

The dispenser has been amazing. Set-up only took a few steps and within about 15 minutes we had great tasting cold water. As the website states, the dispenser has the option of dispensing both hot and cold water. Currently, we aren’t using the hot water so we have opted to turn off the switch all together. There is also a removable drip tray to catch anything that might spill – so it doesn’t end up all over our kitchen floor. A great feature when you have kids… and/or a husband!

The dispensing area has plenty of room to fill up larger reusable water bottles therefore, not only are we saving money, we are being more eco-friendly by reusing instead of buying 100s and 100s of plastic water bottles. There is another great little side-effect to our NewAir Water Dispenser. The family is not only taking water to practice and workouts; we are bringing it with us to school and work. We have really cut back on our soda and juice. Not sure we are quite drinking 64 oz., but we are getting close.

The NewAir Water Dispenser has loads of useful features and would be great for home or the office. I even recommended it to my trainer for her gym. Our family loves having great tasting water available 24/7 and overall, have been very impressed with the NewAir WCD-110SS Water Dispenser.
