Usually with projects like this, she asks me to help her just once and that’s to separate the pieces by color. Then, she’s able to follow the easy-to-understand direction booklet to complete the project. This time, she said, “no I want to try it from one big pile, we don’t have to sort it!”
Call it inpatient, call it tired after a full school day, call it just plain tough, mom ended up helping her 8-year old sort the Mega Bloks by color to help her complete the task. With a big smile, she finished the Camper and had a whole new set of adventures in the living room. Having so much reading, writing, and arithmetic work to do in the classroom nowadays, I appreciate projects like this one from Mega Bloks to bring back imaginative and creative play into my daughter’s day!
