Oh the memories of our recent visit to Disneyland are still fresh in our minds. That combined with 14 years of watching the Disney channel with my 3 children, I can’t help but fall in love with all the music on our new Wii game, Just Dance Disney Party! A mix of old songs from Disney movies past and present, plus fun songs from Disney Channel Original Series and Movies that all 3 of my kids know and love make for a fun game for the entire family!

Benefits for Parents

On-screen lyrics help kids learn the words and sing along as they dance.
Simple menu icons allow kids to navigate on their own!
Our Take: The oohs and ahhs from all of us got us excited to pop the game into the Wii and get dancing. I have to admit I’m a sucker for Hannah Montana’s Hoedown Throwdown, and We’re All in This Together from the High School Musical movie, it brought back memories when my older kids watched the show and movies and how time has really flown being a parent. All sentiment aside the kids got dancing!
From the start the icons for each player are adorable, they all look like Muppets and some have Yoda Ears, Mickey/Minnie ears, and some don crowns. My youngest started with Tangled’s “I’ve Got a Dream” and she knows all the words but it was neat to see them on the screen for her to read if she’s able to multi-task! The background’s on all the scenes mimic the show/movie/set style and we giggled out loud when we saw Cupid from the Tangled movie! There was a princess like dancer in the song that came up to sing Rapunzel’s part and having real people dancing is unique from the other Just Dance games.
My son who claims he can’t dance laughed to see S.I.M.P from Phineas and Ferb on the list and did a little dance move I can’t describe, but it did make me believe he CAN dance just fine. The kids loved the songs and the dances were definitely simpler than those of the other Just Dance games, but it didn’t seem to matter when you’re dancing to beloved songs. Even the older kids would finish one song and say, “let’s do another!” It always helps that my girls love dance and do it weekly at school (art requirement) and at the local dance studio! For the upcoming holiday we’ll be spending time with 11 cousins ranging from age 2-11 and Just Dance Disney Party is the perfect party game!
The game is available at Amazon.com for $19.99!
Lil’ Teammates Collectible Team Sets
Being a Forty-Niner fan has almost been as thrilling as the Twilight saga lately.

The quarterback controversy has made things really exciting!! So when I was given the opportunity to review Lil’ Teammates Collectible Team Sets I couldn’t pass it up. My son enjoyed his Teeny Mates and still has them displayed on his dresser.
LIL’ TEAMMATES NFL COLLECTIBLE TEAM SETS FAST FACTS:
• Contains all three positions: Quarterback, Lineman and Running Back.
• Attractive diorama display package.
• MSRP: $24.99
• Fully licensed 3″ tall vinyl figures with rotating head, arms and waist.
They are the same size as the single pack Lil’ Teammates, but allow you to get the whole team in one package. Since there are no numbers on the Lil’ Teammates you’re free to pick your own team.
Currently they offer 22 different NFL teams:
• Chicago Bears
• Cincinnati Bengals
• Denver Broncos
• Cleveland Browns
• San Diego Chargers
• Kansas City Chiefs
• Indianapolis Colts
• Dallas Cowboys
• Miami Dolphins
• Philadelphia Eagles
• San Francisco 49ers
• New York Giants
• New York Jets
• Detroit Lions
• Green Bay Packers
• New England Patriot
• Oakland Raiders
• Baltimore Ravens
• Washington Redskins
• New Orleans Saints
• Pittsburgh Steelers
• Minnesota Vikings
Deciding who the positional players was easy for us. The Running Back was Anthony Dixon and the Lineman was Center Jonathon Goodwin, but who would be the Quarterback?!?! Keap or Alex?!?!
There was some pleading by the older brother not to even open the box. The 12 year old tried to convince his Lil’ brother that he should leave them in the box so they could be “collectable and worth some money someday,” but his brother wasn’t having that.
Once he finally freed them from their twist tie jail my 10 year old completely enjoyed the Lil’ Teammates. He could be heard making random number, color, letter hut, hut, hike sounds all over the house. The figures are really sturdy and stood up to him banging them together. This time he did ask if we could get the Raiders too, so he could have a team to beat. :o)
So whether you prefer Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith Lil’ Teammates can work for you. Heck – get 2 then you can have them both! Ultimately we choose Alex. We kinda think Coach should have stuck with the veteran.

I love music, coffee, crafting, and devouring a good book! I currently work as the Office Administrator at a preschool. I’ve also worked as an HR Assistant, 911 Communications Operator, and Golf Course Starter. Our family loves animals, camping and fishing, baseball, hockey, and going to the movies. We have 4 cats and 1 amazing dog, Buster. When the kids aren’t playing baseball, we love spending time with our friends and family.

Our Take: We couldn’t be happier to own this movie. I cry at the beginning, I cry at the end, the kids laugh throughout at Dori’s antics, it’s such a classic movie. I remember watching the video cassette when my oldest two kids were young and that brings back special memories. I love when my 14 and 11 year old still laugh and love at the movie. The DVD bonus features are always cool, the aquarium is fun to have on in the background and I love the Filmmaker’s Roundtable and hearing their thoughts and comments about making the film. Ellen DeGeneres is one of my favorite comedians and I love seeing her face in some of those clips as well.
